In the event of heavy rain, a typhoon, an earthquake, or other natural disaster or when a warning information has been announced, all classes and examinations (including regular, supplementary, and re-examinations: referred to below as ¡°Classes etc.¡±) will be handled according to the directions to be given to students, as indicated below.
1. In the event a Warning (Level 5 Emergency Warning, Level 4 Urgent Warning, Emergency Warning, Storm Warning, or Snowstorm Warning) is issued in Nagoya City
If a Level 5 Emergency Warning, a Level 4 Urgent Warning, an Emergency Warning, a Storm Warning, or a Snowstorm Warning (hereinafter referred to as the ¡°Warnings¡±) is issued in Nagoya City, Classes etc. that are to start after the time of the announcement will be canceled as provided in Table 1. In this case, the manner in which Classes etc. will be held after the warning has been lifted shall be as prescribed in Table 2.

Important Notes
- As a general rule, ICT-based online classes, etc., will not be canceled. In these cases, please check the statuses of the classes on the lecture websites and the TACT.
- If you are already at school when the Warnings are announced, check the status of public transportation and the safety of your residential area, and only go home if you are sure it is safe.
- If the Warnings are issued while you are on your way to school or if public transportation is suspended by this information, refrain from going to school for your safety as a general rule.
- If one was unable to come to campus or take classes due to the public transportation suspension or safety concern, please inform the appropriate faculty as soon as possible.

2. In the event of an earthquake or fire
If an earthquake with a seismic intensity level of upper 5 or greater occurs in Nagoya City, Classes etc. (including ICT-based online classes) that are to take place after the occurrence will be canceled. The schedule for the resumption of Classes etc. canceled due to a natural disaster will be announced on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø website and through other means, taking into consideration the extent of the damage.
If an earthquake or other disaster occurs during class, calmly assess the situation and the scale of the earthquake or disaster, and take all necessary steps to protect yourself. Following the class cancellation, comply with the instructions of the class instructor, and go to the designated temporary evacuation area. After evacuating, follow the instructions given by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
3. In the event that Nankai Trough Earthquake Extra Information is released
The national and local governments have issued guidelines for how to respond when this information is released. For as the organization of classes, returning home, etc., you should follow the instructions from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, while also ensuring your safety by staying abreast of the situation. You should be careful since additions or revisions may be made to the response policy.
4. In the event of any other disaster or risk of disaster
If it is deemed difficult to hold classes for any other reason, a decision will be made on whether or not to cancel the classes. In such cases, relevant information will be posted on the University website, TACT, and other locations.
