Emeritus Professor Kumi Yoshida of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Receives the Japan Academy Prize

of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø has been awarded the for her groundbreaking research on "Studies on Mechanisms of Blue Flower Coloration by Anthocyanins".

The Japan Academy Prize is presented annually in recognition of outstanding academic achievements, including exceptional research papers, books, and other scholarly contributions that have significantly advanced their field.

Professor Yoshida’s has elucidated the precise chemical structures of blue flower pigments across various species and has revealed both the diversity and universality of the mechanisms governing their expression.
