The Disaster Mitigation Research Building aims to mitigate disasters in society through collaboration among industry, the government, academia, and citizens. The seismically isolated building is equipped with non-utility and photovoltaic power generation systems.
It is a place where researchers studying earthquakes and disasters gather and where technologies for earthquake-resistant buildings are developed. While it is primarily used for advanced research and education, it becomes a disaster response focal point for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and the region in the event of a disaster.
The first and second floors, as well as the seismic isolation gallery, are open to the public as museum spaces. ?

Closed: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, the last Saturday of the month, national holidays, ?
New Year’s holidays, Obon holidays, and the beginning and end of the academic year. ?
The museum may also close temporarily due to facility use or university events. ?
